Choosing the right assessment
About Raise the Bar Clinic
Raise the Bar Clinic is a private educational and developmental group practice supporting children, adolescents and adults. Founded in 2013 and led by Dr. Kate Jacobs and Dr Hayley Anthony, our team provides person-centred, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming assessment and support for developmental and learning differences.
Lydia, our Practice Manager, and the administration team are often your first point of contact. They'll help you understand your options and connect you with the right practitioner at our Melbourne clinic in Heatherton.

Practice Manager
Share your concerns, goals, and needs so that we can match you with the right psychologist and assessment.
Meet with your psychologist to share background information. Your psychologist will explain the assessment process and what to expect.
Assessments are delivered using a "hybrid" model. Most conversations happen from home via Telehealth, with only the essential face-to-face assessment held in person at our clinic.
We meet with you to explain the results in everyday language, discuss what they mean, answer questions, and go over recommended next steps. A comprehensive and personalised report is provided.
The report is the beginning, not the end. Follow-up sessions can help you debrief the results, plan practical next steps, coordinate referrals, and translate recommendations into support at home or school.
